Bai et al. (9) reported that GLP-1RA liraglutide (LR) improved renal fibrosis in angiotensin II-induced rats by attenuating the protein levels of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase 4 and interleukin-6 (IL-6) and downregulating the synthesis of fibronectin (FN), collagen I, and α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA). Here, FN1 is linked to renal fibrosis.
