Xu et al. (16) reported that a combination of liraglutide and human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells could significantly decrease the expression of inflammatory factors and improve oxidative stress by downregulating the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway in rats with T2DM/nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Here, TLR4 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
