Using the Cancer Gene Census, we searched for candidate oncogenes associated with IFN pathogenesis located at 4p13–4q35.2, a locus showing a gain in IFN, and identified RAP1GDS1 and LEF1. Two signaling pathways closely associated with RAP1GDS1 (RAP1 signaling) and LEF1 (Wnt signaling) may play a role in IFN development. This evidence concerns the gene IFNA1 and cancer.
