Further analysis of the genes SFPQ, DDX39B, and UBAP2 demonstrated that their expression levels are significantly elevated in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues compared to adjacent non-tumorous tissues (p < 0.001), as depicted in Fig. 8A. High expression levels of these genes were found to be associated with poor prognosis, with hazard ratios (HR) of 2.14 (p < 0.001) for SFPQ, 1.51 (p = 0.021) for DDX39B, and 1.44 (p = 0.037) for UBAP2 (Fig. 8B). This evidence concerns the gene SFPQ and hepatocellular carcinoma.
