The BSN protein and BSN gene were reported to be associated with multiple system atrophy (Hashida et al., 1998), Parkinson’s disease (PD; Andrews and Kukkle, 2023), Huntington’s disease (Huang et al., 2020), schizophrenia, bipolar disorder (Chen and Huang, 2021), multiple sclerosis (Schattling and Engler, 2019) and epilepsy (Ye et al., 2023). The gene discussed is BSN; the disease is juvenile Huntington disease.
