NF1 and neoplasm: In mice implanted with ST88‐14 NF1−/− cells, treatment with CQ (50 mg·kg−1 in saline, intraperitoneally, three times per week) or selumetinib (25 mg·kg−1 in saline, oral gavage, three times per week) once the tumors had started to grow, resulted in a significant reduction in tumor cell growth over a period of 3 weeks in comparison to vehicle‐treated controls (Fig. 7F).
