Epithelial–mesenchymal transition is related to the invasion and metastasis of CRC.35-37 Superoxide dismutase 3 deficiency can promote hepatic stellate cell activation and EMT to induce liver fibrogenesis.38 Additionally, SOD3 upregulation prevents the expression of mesenchymal proteins.39 Herein, we found that elevated SOD3 levels elevated E-cadherin levels while decreasing N-cadherin and Vimentin levels in CRC cells, indicating that SOD3 upregulation prevents EMT in CRC. Here, SOD3 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
