Previously, Yilmaz et al16 found a positive correlation between NLR and the severity of liver fibrosis (β = 0.631, P < .001) in 38 patients with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) confirmed by liver biopsy, and it was found to be a better predictor of liver fibrosis in NASH patients than C-reactive protein. Here, CRP is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
