CD14 was upregulated in PCP compared to ACP (2.55 fold, p < 0.05) and notably, the transmembrane protein CD47, an inhibitor of myeloid cells known to be expressed in ACP, was upregulated in ACP relative to PCP (2.3 fold, adjusted p-value = 0.01) (Fig. 5A). The gene discussed is CD14; the disease is pneumocystosis.
