GCKR and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: Speliotes et al. [84] found that genetic variations in or near glucokinase regulatory protein (GCKR), lysophospholipase-like 1 (LYPLAL1), and phosphatase 1-regulatory subunit 3b (PPP1R3B) are significantly linked to liver fat content and/or histopathologic NAFLD/MASLD phenotypes at the genome-wide level of significance.
