Although no studies have directly investigated the association of these SNPs with the response to these biologic therapies, it has been reported that the presence of the FCER1B rs569108-G and FCER1B rs1441586-T alleles correlates with an increased risk of asthma, which could potentially explain the association of the lower-risk alleles with a more favorable prognosis for these biologic therapies [58,59,60,61]. The gene discussed is MS4A2; the disease is asthma.
