CCL20, as a sole ligand of CCR6 (C-C motif chemokine receptor 6), attracts lymphocytes [18,19], and the CCR6–CCL20 axis is important for the initiation of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), by promoting the infiltration of IL-17 cells to CNS via the choroid plexus [20,21].
