Interestingly, it was reported that older adults with obesity who also had hypertension or dyslipidemia, but not diabetes, showed significant negative correlations between circulating IL-10 levels and alterations in the concentrations of total cholesterol, LDL-c, and HDL-c, but not with other cardiometabolic parameters, such as triglyceride levels, waist circumference, and BMI [47]. Here, IL10 is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
