DUMPS (Deficiency of Uridine Monophosphate Synthase) is a monogenic autosomal recessive disease due to a metabolic disorder due to deficiency of the enzyme uridine monophosphate synthetase associated with the reproductive function of animals, and it affects the survival of offspring, causing embryo death, usually after the first 40 days of development, that is, at the stage of implantation of the embryo in the uterus [67,68,69]. This evidence concerns the gene UMPS and metabolic disease.
