These findings are in line with previous data reporting an antitumoral action of γ-TT (another isomer of TTs) in HCC through the involvement of the JAK1, JAK2, and STAT3 signaling pathways [29], the inhibition of the Ras-Raf-MEK-ERK pathway [31], and the induction of apoptotic cell death [28].
