NFKB1 and osteonecrosis: In osteonecrosis of the femoral head induced by steroids or corticosteroids, NF‐κB activation helps increase the proportion of M1 macrophages,8 and supressing this activation can mitigate the disease,29 which indeed appears to be part of aucubin's therapeutic mechanism, as we have shown here and as others have shown in previous work.17
