Intriguingly, while ELL2 associates also with IgG sialylation [1], the multiple myeloma risk allele rs56219066-C shows a stronger association with circulating IgA levels compared to IgG [46], suggesting that IgA, more than IgG, N-glycan sialylation may play a role in multiple myeloma. Here, ELL2 is linked to AL amyloidosis.
