First, we assessed the effect of SGI‐1027 in combination with everolimus on the formation of autolysosomes by using an adenovirus expressing mCherry‐GFP‐LC3B fusion protein.[23] As shown in Figure 7A, SGI‐1027 induced accumulation of yellow signals in renal cancer cells, and everolimus amplified this effect within a short time, suggesting that the formation of autolysosomes was disturbed.
