Although there was no obvious distinction between the two groups’ total TMB, there were substantial differences in the frequency of mutations in certain genes linked to colorectal cancer, such as APC, TP53, KRAS, and PIK3CA. It may be possible to use PIK3CA gene mutations in colorectal cancer as molecular biomarkers to predict how well adjuvant aspirin therapy would work [45]. The gene discussed is APC; the disease is colorectal cancer.
