This immunocytokine has shown some encouraging anti-tumoral results in several preclinical models of melanoma and neuroblastoma as well as phase I and II clinical trials in adults with melanoma and children with neuroblastoma (43, 111–115) In a phase I clinical trial in melanoma patients hu14.18-IL2 showed immune activation, reversible toxicities, and a MTD of 7.5 mg/m2/day (approximately 22.5x106 U IL-2) when administered on day 1-3 of each 28-day cycle. The gene discussed is IL2; the disease is neuroblastoma.
