STAT3 and familial dilated cardiomyopathy: Our recent study found that exogenous hydrogen sulfide (H2S) supplementation caused phosphorylation of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) at Ser727, suppressed oxidative stress, decreased necroptosis, and ameliorated DCM through a RORα-dependent mechanism (Zhang S. et al., 2023) (Figure 4).
