Examination of EphA3 mRNA expression in the pediatric CNS dataset from the Primary Brain Tumor Atlas (PBTA) clearly demonstrates groups of patients with EphA3 expression at comparable levels to DIPG in other pediatric brain cancer types, including Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumor (ATRT), craniopharyngioma, ependymoma, ganglioma, high and low grade gliomas as well as medulloblastoma (figure 1B(i)).35 This evidence concerns the gene EPHA3 and central nervous system cancer.
