SIRT5 and colonic neoplasm: Based on the results above, the following conclusions could be tentatively drawn: Extracellular vesicles derived from Lactobacillus inhibit abnormal proliferation and glycolytic reprogramming of intestinal epithelial cells by downregulating SIRT5 and promoting p53 succinylation modification, thereby suppressing the formation of colon tumors (Fig. 8).
