Keratin 17 (K17) is regarded as a specific hallmark molecule for psoriasis, and it is overexpressed in the damaged epidermis of psoriatic skin but not usually expressed in normal epidermal keratinocytes [38,39]; K6 is a marker of hyperproliferation and increases in psoriasis, while K10 is associated with normal differentiation of epidermal keratinocytes and decreases in psoriasis [38,40,41]. Here, KRT17 is linked to psoriasis.
