The levels of tight junction protein-related genes, including ZO-1 and Claudin, were higher in both APS groups than in the NC group (P < 0.05, Fig. 5J and K); however, the expression of Muc2 andOccludin showed no significant differences among all groups (Fig. 5I and L). The gene discussed is TJP1; the disease is autoimmune polyendocrinopathy.
