EDN1 and preeclampsia: A follow up study five to 6 years following pregnancy found that individuals with previous preeclampsia had sustained higher levels of norepinephrine at rest compared with those without a history of preeclampsia, and they had a positive correlation between endothelin-1 levels and SBP and DBP in the upright position, which was not seen in with those without a history of preeclampsia (Lampinen et al., 2014).
