MGMT and neoplasm: For patients with unknown MGMT methylation status (≤70 years), based on the clinically meaningful improvement in survival that is anticipated from temozolomide for the 30 to 40 percent of patients who are predicted to have an MGMT-methylated tumour, the absence of better alternatives for MGMT-unmethylated tumours, and the relative safety and tolerability of temozolomide, radiation therapy combined with temozolomide continues to be the standard of care.
