A noteworthy discovery is in the 8q24 genomic region, known for harboring multiple prostate cancer risk variants.[47, 48, 49] In this region, RECWAS uniquely identified 7 AR and 13 H3K27ac peaks near the CASC8 (cancer susceptibility candidate 8) and PCAT1 (prostate cancer‐associated transcript 1) genes, outperforming the discoveries made by CWAS (refer to Tables S1 and S2 (Supporting Information), and Figure 5A,B for details).
