CRP and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: For former smokers, we found positive associations with the smoking heaviness PRS and CRP (b = 0.007; 95% confidence interval [CI] to: 0.001–0.01; p = 0.02), COPD (odds ratio [OR] = 1.04; 95% CI: 1.007–1.07; p = 0.01) and poorer health (OR = 1.01; 95% CI: 1.00–1.03; p = 0.02) only.
