Two previous studies showed a decrease in L. johnsonii abundance in feces of CKD rats induced by cationic bovine serum albumin and NX.27,28 In addition, Zhang et al s a decrease in L. johnsonii abundance in feces of mice with cisplatin-induced renal injury.29 Our current study demonstrated that L. johnsonii supplementation ameliorated renal injury.
