CD8A and infection: Chemotherapy generally has a damaging effect on the functions of multiple tissues and organs, mainly in the form of immunosuppression, as well as subsequent adverse reactions such as bone marrow suppression and infections.23 Studies have also showed that the levels of CD4+/CD8+ and CD4+ in patients with LC decrease after chemotherapy.24 However, the present study showed that patients in the ASLC group exhibited significantly higher levels of CD4+/CD8+ and CD4+ compared to those in the SLC group after treatment.
