Dysregulation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway involves the mitogen-activated protein kinase enzyme (MEK), extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), RAF, and the RAS signaling cascade; this pathway is involved in approximately one-third of cancers and is involved in the progression and tumorigenesis of a broad array of cancers including NSCLCs [11–15].
