Qu et al. found through TCMSP and other databases that the ZhiShi–BaiZhu herb pair mainly treated gastric cancer through 27 key active compounds and 120 targets, which exerted therapeutic effects on the disease by acting on the IL17 signaling pathway and the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway; the main targets include MMP9, BCL2, MDM2, AKT1, and MOTR; and the final molecular docking showed that the two key ingredients of naringin and luteolin could stably bind to the target (Qu, et al., 2021). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and gastric cancer.
