AFP and hepatocellular carcinoma: Among the study’s 267 HCC patients listed for liver transplantation, those with elevated AFP-L3 (≥ 35%) or elevated DCP (≥ 7.5 ng/mL) had 60% chance of waitlist dropout due to tumor progression, clinical deterioration, or death within 2 years of listing and those with both biomarkers elevated had a 100% chance of waitlist dropout within the same time period.
