In Tao Wang’s study, they used An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay used to analyze the concentration of the following blood plasma proteins: Aβ42, Aβ40, IL-10, IL-6, phosphorylated tau 181, and total tau, and found that only plasma Aβ40 was able to distinguish between AD and NC groups54. Here, IL6 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
