In contrast, the angiotensin-neprilysin inhibitor sacubitril/valsartan has beenreported to show a significant reduction of cardiovascular death andhospitalization for heart failure in heart failure with reduced ejection fraction(HFrEF) compared to enalapril in the PARADIGM-trial [17] and led to a greaterreduction in the N-terminal pro brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) concentration than enalapril in acute decompensatedheart failure in the PIONEER-trial [18].
