CHF patients showed significantly higher BNP levels (812.47± 20.68 vs. 46.73 ± 9.29 pg/mL), left atrial end-systolicdiameter (LAD) (48 ± 13 vs. 28 ± 6 mm), and left ventricularend-diastolic diameter (LVDd) (66 ± 8 vs. 37 ± 8 mm) andlower LVEF (34 ± 8% vs. 64 ± 10%) than the healthyindividuals (p< 0.001, Table 1).
