It is worth noting that in SHRs, the levelof cardiac sFRP2 did not change significantly from weeks 8 to 12, which wasinconsistent with the result whereby serum-sFRP2 levels decreased more in group Bthan in group A. This difference may be explained by the fact that 8-week-oldSHRs are in a pre-HTN state, which is also linked to cardiac remodeling [25].Thus, the pre-HTN state may have a complicated effect on sFRP2. This evidence concerns the gene SFRP2 and hypertensive disorder.
