Within the whole cohort, the most common indicationfor anticoagulation was deep vein thrombosis (DVT), followed by pulmonaryembolism (PE), hypercoagulopathic disease state (e.g. antiphospholipid syndrome,Factor V Leiden, JAK2 mutation, or hypercoagulability of malignancy),intracardiac thrombus, embolic stroke of unknown etiology (ESUS), bioprostheticvalve, or another indication. This evidence concerns the gene F5 and deep vein thrombosis.
