In cross-sectional analyses including sex, IP-10 and sex × IP-10 as independent variables, there were trends in the same direction for the whole cohort on KA levels (β = -0.17, P = 0.03) and the KA/QA ratio (β = -0.18, P = 0.02), and a significant interaction on KA levels (β = -0.23, P = 0.008) and a trend on the KA/QA ratio (β = -0.19, P = 0.04) for the AD patients, see Supplementary Table S1.
