From total 66 DEGs, we identified 11 (16%) as pseudogenes, which comprised two main groups: mitochondrial pseudogenes increased in females (MTND1P23, MTCO1P12, MTCO1P40, and MTND2P28) and ribosomal pseudogenes increased in male schizophrenia patients (RPS4XP22, RPS16P4, and RPS28P7). The gene discussed is MTND1P23; the disease is schizophrenia.
