The anti-epithelial growth factor receptor (EGFR) monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) cetuximab and panitumumab improve survival in patients with RAS wild-type (WT) metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), but do not yield a significant survival benefit in patients with right-sided or RAS mutant (MT) mCRC (Di Nicolantonio et al. 2021). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and metastatic colorectal cancer.
