After adjusting for age and sex (model 1, Table 3) or for age, sex, and other significant factors listed in Table 1, including coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, cholesterol level, platelet count, and insulin analogs (model 2, Table 3), those with a large IVCD and eccentric LVH (aHR: 3.34, 4.40; 95% CI: 1.43–7.81, 1.58–12.23, respectively) or concentric LVH (aHR: 2.72, 3.60; 95% CI: 1.13–6.53, 1.28–10.12, respectively) still had a significantly higher risk of MACEs than did those with a small IVCD and eccentric LVH. This evidence concerns the gene INS and peripheral arterial disease.
