To this end, we explored the mutation rate of the Tex signature genes in pan-cancer, and we observed a 2–3% SNV mutation frequency of PDCD1, LAG3, TIGIT, HAVCR2, and LAYN mainly in UCEC and SKCM, with HAVCR2 and TIGIT having the highest mutation frequencies (24% and 23% of samples, respectively). Here, LAG3 is linked to cancer.
