IL17A and osteoarthritis: These results correlate with the clinical score (r = 563, p < 0.05), the serum level of IL-17A (r = 0.793, p < 0.001) and both Krenn synovitis (r = 0.658, p < 0.01) and Mankin osteoarthritis scores (r = 0.701, p < 0.01) in the female rats (Figure 5C), indicating a strong correlation between local and systemic inflammation and the CNS response, i.e., microglial activation in the DG of the hippocampus.
