Wulansari et al. [110] generated a midbrain organoid with DnaJ heat shock protein family (Hsp40) member C6 (DNAJC6) function mutations, which impaired ventral midbrain (VM) patterning and caused defects related to adult mDANs, leading to neurodegeneration and other PD phenotypes. This evidence concerns the gene DNAJC6 and Parkinson disease.
