The administration of anti-TLR7 monoclonal antibodies [66] or the TLR7/TLR9 inhibitor IRS954 [63] diminishes autoantibody production and glomerulonephritis in lupus-prone mice, suggesting that RNA-stimulated TLR7 signalling promotes leukocyte recruitment and autoantibody production in SLE [66].
