It has been demonstrated that the unrestricted activation of NF-κB can have a negative impact on anti-cancer immune responses: NF-κB activation through the neddylation pathway in lung cancer cells can induce the infiltration of TAMs and myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDCSs) in chemotactic cytochrome ligand2 (CCL2)-dependent [49] and C-X-C motif chemokine 6 (CXCL6)-dependent [45] ways to alter a microenvironment that is supportive of cancer growth and progression. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and lung carcinoma.
