Komura and colleagues performed a comprehensive proteomic analysis and reported that BubR1 is the most up-regulated protein in chemoradiation therapy (CRT)-recurrent tumors as compared with a primary treatment-naïve tumor in bladder cancer; CRT-resistant bladder cancer cell lines were treated with cisplatin, and the result showed increased colony formation and BubR1 expression when compared to parent cells [20]. This evidence concerns the gene BUB1B and urinary bladder carcinoma.
