HSPB1 and central nervous system cancer: In addition to confirming the association between poor prognosis of glioma patients and downregulation of ACSL4, overexpression of heat shock protein beta 1 (HSPB1) is also significantly correlated with shorter overall survival, and it is postulated that therapy with the HSPB1 antagonist, ipatasertib, is a promising ferroptosis-inducing therapeutic strategy [73,74].
