In order to shed a light on the death signaling pathways activated in uL3-silenced CRC cells upon erastin treatment, we exposed CRC cells to erastin in the absence or presence of different inhibitors, including the ferroptosis inhibitor ferrostatin-1 [21], the apoptosis inhibitor Z-VAD-FMK and the necroptosis inhibitor necrosulfonamide. The gene discussed is RPL3; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
